Young Execs

Who are the Young Executives?

The Saskatoon Construction Association Young Executives (YE) are a group of up and coming professionals looking to expand their networks and get involved in the Saskatoon Construction Association and Industry in an approachable environment.

What Types of Opportunities do the Young Executives Offer?

The YE provide a range of opportunities including targeted education from industry leaders, informal networking nights and Young Executives exclusive social events. Recent examples include:

Mentor Mingle - presentation & tour by Hy-Grade Millwork

SBDI Lunch & Learn Series - two-part series presented by Matt Farthing, Manager CaNet; Fraser Sutherland, Past Chairman & Founding Member SBDI & Dean Cochrane, SBDI Chairman

Golf With a Mentor - an afternoon of golf with a local industry mentor and other industry peers
Industry Nights - ongoing tours of member companies with networking to follow

YE Curling Qualifier - our first Young Executive curling event with a chance to win a spot in the main bonspiel

Taxes & Tastings Lucky Bastard Tour - a tour of LB Distillers new facility followed by a discussion about investment tools

I’m not an "Executive", can I still get involved?

Absolutely. The Young Executives welcome people from all career levels and positions in order to develop their connections and skills in the industry. The skills developed with the YE have even led members to move on to Association committees and the Board of Directors.

What is Considered Young?

We typically include members under 40 years of age in our Young Executive category, however, this is more of a guideline not a rule!
