The Saskatoon Construction Association Young Executives (YE) are a group of up and coming professionals looking to expand their networks and get involved in the Saskatoon Construction Association and Industry in an approachable environment.
The YE provides a range of opportunities including targeted education from industry leaders, informal networking nights and Young Executives exclusive social events. Recent examples include:
Professional Development & Pool - An annual event that combines presentations on professional development, the importance of networking and our YE Pool Tournament
Golf With a Mentor - an afternoon of golf with a local industry mentor and other industry peers
Industry Nights - ongoing tours that showcase member companies and capabilities
YE Curling Qualifier - an annual Young Executive curling event that gives attendees a chance to win a spot in the main bonspiel through a half day funspiel
Site Tours - tours of notable projects in the community, like Merlis Belsher Place, the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital & River Landing
Yes, the Young Executives group is an exclusive benefit of membership with the Association. This allows us to ensure that members are meeting the right people at our events - those who you will actually be interacting with in the industry!
Absolutely. The Young Executives welcome people from all career levels and positions in order to develop their connections and skills in the industry. The skills developed with the YE have even led members to move on to Association committees and the Board of Directors.
We typically include members under 40 years of age in our Young Executive category, however, this is more of a guideline not a rule and we frequently have people from all career stages attend YE Events & Education.
